About Jenna
From teaching art to living it.
Though Memphis is home today, Jenna Fergus’s creative identity was forged on the move. Following her father’s search for work across the South, she developed an adaptability that eventually blossomed into a lifelong passion for art. After decades of "learning while teaching" at Briarcrest Christian School, Jenna transitioned from the classroom to the clothesline.
Her current installations don't just depict laundry; they evoke the feeling of it—the wind, the memory, and the stories of the women who came before us. From the Sea of Galilee series to her street-art-inspired clotheslines, Jenna’s work is a call to forgive and to cherish family, in spite of human frailty.
On her webpage and blog: mindoverthingsthatmatter.com she continues to inspire her community through her exhibitions and her writings on living a fulfilling, creative life.
